Garden design for health and wellbeing

Horticultural Therapist Eva Joly designs and plants gardens for families, community groups, and non-profits.

Eva believes that gardening is fundamentally an emancipatory practice. She strives to demystify the creation and care of gardens to unlock the physical, psychological, and spiritual benefits of gardening.

About Eva

Eva formed her ethic as a gardener and designer as a member of the Pancho Ramos Community Garden in Manhattan’s East Village and in her work facilitating horticultural therapy for adolescents and adults incarcerated on Rikers Island.

Eva received her Horticultural Therapy Certificate from the New York Botanical Garden after completing a Masters in Social Work at Hunter College. She holds a Bachelors of Design (Hons) from the Glasgow School of Art.
